Kava (Piper
methysticum, dried root). Useful in relieving nervousness,
agitation, tension, stress and anxiety. Kava is a mood elevator;
it helps relax muscle tension due to stress, relieves fatigue
and calms the mind. It is very useful when anxiety prevents
sleep.
Dose: Take 20-30 drops two to three times
a day.
Contraindications: Not in pregnancy or
while breast-feeding. Do not use with alcohol or barbiturates.
Side effects: Large amounts over an extended
period of time may cause skin rash.
Warning:Do not use if you have or had liver
problems, frequently use alcohol, or take medication. Stop
use and see a doctor if you develop these symptoms: unexplained
fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fever, vomiting,
dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin. Not for use
during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or with alcohol.
Excessive use or use with products that cause drowsiness
may impair ability to operate vehicles or dangerous equipment.

Useful for anxiety, edginess, tension, mental and physical
agitation, as well as for other symptoms of nervousness
and high level stress. Helps relax muscle tension due to
stress. Permits sleep when insomnia is due to muscle and/or
mental tension. Acts as a mood elevator; is useful in depression
where there is a lot of agitation, anxiety and inability
to relax.
Ingredients: Kava, Chamomile, St. John's
Wort, Oat seed, Passionflower, Hops, Skullcap, Stevia.
Dose: Take 15-25 drops or one softgel three
to four times a day.

while breast-feeding. Do not use with alcohol or barbiturates.

Kidalin® (Catnip/Kola
Complex). Specific for attention deficit disorder (ADD) also
known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Reduces
aggressiveness, focuses and relaxes the mind, rebuilds the nervous
system and calms the hyperkinetic behavior in those with ADHD.
Lessens symptoms such as short attention span, jitteriness,
restlessness, difficulty concentrating, constant shifting and
fretting, difficulty completing assigned tasks, excessive running,
climbing and talking. Also helpful if symptoms manifest as an
inability to focus and pay attention without symptoms of overactivity
or impulsivity.
Ingredients: Catnip, Damiana, Kola nut, Lavender,
Chamomile, Periwinkle, Lemon Balm, Licorice, Oat seed.
Comes in natural cherry, orange or adult formulas.
Dose: Syrup for children five to nine years
old, take one half teaspoon every four hours. Syrup for
children ten years old and older, take one teaspoon twice
a day. Extract for adults; take 20-40 drops two to three
times a day.
Contraindications: Not
in pregnancy.
Kidney
Tonic™ (Dandelion/Uva Ursi Complex). For
non-specific inflammation of the kidneys or bladder, lower
back pain, water retention in PMS or from changes in heat
or humidity. Use in low grade bacterial infection of the
urethra or bladder and irritation of the urethra after sex.
Useful for frequent, urgent, burning or painful urination,
lower back pain, pain in the pubic area, the tendency to
urinate excessively at night, changes in the color of the
urine, and decreases in the amount of the urine. Used over
a period of time, it will strengthen the urinary system.
Ingredients: Dandelion leaf, Saw Palmetto,
Parsley root, Couchgrass, Boldo, Buchu, Juniper, Uva
Ursi, Pipsissewa, Cubeb.
Dose: For acute situations take 20-30 drops
or one softgel every four hours.
Contraindications: Not
in pregnancy. Side effects: Peculiar urine smell and
color may occur.
