Valerian (Valeriana
officinalis, fresh Autumn-harvested root). For nervousness,
anxiety, and stress-related hypertension. Use for insomnia,
emotional depression, poor sleep from pain or trauma, and
gastro-intestinal or uterine cramps, especially in the weakened
person.
Dose: Take 20-80 drops as needed. 
Vein
Tonic (Horse Chestnut/Witch Hazel Complex).
Specific for varicose veins, lymphedema, vascular spasms,
chronic circulatory weakness and feeling of heaviness in
the legs. Vein Tonic helps prevent cerebrovascular
disease and thrombophlebitis. Relieves edema, reduces blood
vessel permeability, increases venous and capillary tone
and lessens inflammation of blood vessels. Relieves painful
cramps in the legs at night and is recommended as a natural
substitute for quinine medication.
Ingredients: Horse Chestnut, Witch Hazel,
Butcher's Broom, Rue, Sweet Clover, Calendula, Milk
Thistle, Ocotillo, Oregon Grape, Stevia.
Dose: Take 25-35 drops twice a day for
three weeks. Stop for one week. Repeat.
Contraindications: Not
in pregnancy.
Vitex (Vitex
agnus-castus [Chaste Tree], dried berry). For premenstrual
syndrome (PMS) caused by excess estrogen or low level of progesterone,
menopausal change, and endometriosis. Also for acne and premenstrual
herpes on the lips. Stimulates milk production in nursing
mothers.
Dose: Take 15-30 drops as needed. Best
results are achieved if taken for a minimum of three
to six months.
Contraindications: Not
in pregnancy. Not while taking oral contraceptives.
Warning: May counteract
the effectiveness of birth control pills.
