Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa, dried root). For dull aching pains without acute inflammation in joints, muscles or uterus. For weak, irregular uterine contractions during labor or for after-birth pains. Useful for menopausal women experiencing hot flashes and depression.
Dose: Take 10-20 drops every four hours.
Contraindications: Not during the first seven months of pregnancy. Do not use while breast-feeding.
Side effects: Excessive use may cause occasional gastrointestinal discomfort, mild frontal headache, dizziness, impaired vision, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, and/or impaired circulation.
