Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha, gum exudate). For painful ulceration of the gums or mouth as in herpes or gingivitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, laryngitis and indigestion. Taken in combination with Echinacea, Myrrh helps to elevate low white blood cell levels.
Dose: Take 10-20 drops four times a day.
Contraindications: Not in pregnancy. Not in overt kidney disease or excessive uterine bleeding.
Side effects: Large amounts may cause diarrhea and irritation of the kidneys.
